It’s Sweetest Day

Among the various monthly activities promoted by BTV club members at their schools was Sweetest Day. This day originated on October 21, 1922, when a group of 12 confectioners in Cleveland, Ohio, organized the first Sweetest Day. They gave away 20,000 boxes of candy to the often forgotten individuals. Sweetest Day has since evolved into a national occasion to "be sweet," encouraging the sharing of kind thoughts, small gifts, or acts of kindness.
